The playground is designed for use by anyone, especially those with diverse disabilities and special needs and is the first of its kind in New Zealand (and the first outside the US). The new playground was built in collaboration with Hamilton City Council and Magical Bridge Trust, a charitable trust started by passionate members of the disability community.

But the book's particular focus is the 1970s, covering setting up the first abortion clinic in 1974.
